Frequent Questions
1. Does casa madre have the following items available?
Coffee machine, coffee, cooking staples (olive oil, salt, etc.), hairdryer, iron, iron board, beach towels, speaker?
R: Yes
2. Do we have to buy water?
R: No, we provide water jugs for you. Do not drink water from the faucet. Tap water is not safe to drink in Mexico.
3. What is the best way to get to to from the airport? I saw you can help coordinate a private van. Are private vans the easiest mode? What is the taxi situation?
R: Reserving a private van is the easiest way to move from airport to casa madre. You can reserve one with us. Renting a car at the airport is also a great option! We have one outdoors parking spot right outside the house. Taxis are available but expensive from airport to house. UBER is not available at the Cancun airport, but is in the city.
4. What is the best/safest mode of transportation for going to the hotel zone?
R: Most of our guests that don't rent a car, schedule transportation for their tour, ferry, or if they are gonna spend the day at the beach. If you will be partying and night, we recommend reserving a van to drive you, even if you rented a car. You can UBER and definitely move by bus (bus stop is 5 min walk from the house); it's easy and safe!
Taxis are not as easy to grab during the day, but widely available at night around restaurants and nightclubs. It is safe to take them and go back to casa madre.
5. Do you have a recommended grocery store and liquor store (if separate)? And do they have delivery services that we could have sent to the VRBO?
R: Yes and you can add $25 to your airpot-casa madre transportation to drop your bags at the house and go to Walmart with the van. Please note you have to reserve this option prior to your arrival.
You can also order from Walmart, but the easiest way is to order from this link loquesea.com and have it delivered to the house.

6. We have a few extra hours on Sunday after we check out and before our flights. Do you have any recommended spots where we might be able to buy a day pass to hang out?
R: Depends on how long you have. Most of our guests do brunch. For an extra cost transportation can drive you wherever you choose to eat and then take you to the airport. You can also pay late check-out at casa madre if it's available.
